OY! Another one to add to the list of Stupid Over Reactions!!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ones-T-shirt-threatening-school-shooting.html

"...the security guard claimed the word 'fire' could be a proxy for 'AK-47.' " REALLY?! I thought that I was current on firearm lingo and slang!!

"...college President Kaye Walter said she stood by the action taken in Schmidt's case because there were three school shootings across the country in January prior to the T-shirt post." ...and logic - guess not! I'm no college president - that's for sure!

Looks pretty threatening to me!!!

Somebody sends me a note and tells me that is a threat against the school - my response is: "No it isn't."
And I go back to work!!

It sound more like an ancient Celtic or Viking saying that a threat. Again, someone is "guilty of making a threat" because someone else is to stupid to even know they weren't threatened. What a bunch of lame losers and the fact that this guy was punished for someone else's stupidity doesn't say much for our nation. No one can ever be upset or offended. These libtards actually think they can make some socialist utopia where everyone is happy all the time and nobody ever has their feelings hurt.

Pretty much Mingaa. Last year some guy had the cops and social services at his door because someone saw a picture of his kid on his FB page target shooting with a 10/22. I remember Charlton Heston talking about a college prof that lost his job for using the word "niggardly" because someone was offended and to dumb to look up the meaning. Rather than educate the dumbass they punish the guy with the brain. Let's all dumb down.

Yep, I remember that 10/22 idiocy when it was in the news.

AND - yep, one would think that a case that could be solved by cracking a dictionary would just go away. Apparently not in this world! "Sue all dictionaries! Sue the creator of the English language!!!!" ARG!

I remember an early review of my work where the author referred to my 'fecund mind' — I thought he had called me a 'sh** head' until I looked it up. NOT the same word root as fecal - it is related to fetus and means "producing or capable of producing an abundance of offspring or new growth; fertile." Good thing I didn't poke him in the nose before I looked it up! SHEESH!

I remember getting into hot water in the third grade for wearing a Harley t-shirt to school.

Got sent to the principal's office and they made me turn my shirt inside out for the rest of the day. They explained that "bikers" had a negative image and that I shouldn't be representing that lifestyle. The next morning my dad brought me to school on his Harley followed by a dozen or so guys from the club riding behind us. He walked me into the principals office and asked if there were any issues with the Harley shirt I was wearing. The roar of the bikes in the background must have been soothing, because the principal had a change of heart. Never had any issues about my choice of clothing after that...

Great story LES!
When I was in high school I wore a Jack Daniels and sometimes a Fred's tavern T-shirt. I also had a Heineken "grab a Heiney" baseball shirt with a big beer bottle that had the cap coming off. Nobody said a word. I was in a city school and they were just glad if you showed up and didn't get into trouble.

Good dad.

When I was in high school they banned the Bart Simpson "Underachiever and Proud of It" T-shirts. They said it didn't send the right message. If they hadn't prevented me from wearing that shirt I might never have graduated and went to college bought a lot of guns and became a productive member of society and a major tax contributor to all the "Under Achiever and proud of It" entitlement programs our government offers. I was also not allowed to wear deck shoes without socks or baseball caps (even on hat day during spirit week, figure that one out) I'm sure that these small acts of social conditioning act saved me from some other unspeakable fate.

You have to censor your language to meet other people's lack of understanding? Lame....
