So I was out shooting skeet with my son... Launched the skeet and I took aim and turned off the safety and things felt funny... Turns out the plastic switch broke in half. The ball bearing is gone and the spring was bent out of shape.
I wound up pulling the spring out so I'm left with the safety screw that slides back-n-forth between engaged and disengaged with no resistance.
When replacing a safety, does the new safety typically come with the spring, or is it just time cheap plastic slide? Am I getting into the territory of needing a gunsmith?
Thanks.
