I'd prefer to put a scope base directly on the receiver rather than use a saddle mount. Does anyone have any experience installing either the Weaver or UTG mount? I'm leaning toward the UTG because it has more slots for greater flexibility in optics choice. Does either mount have a "bump" on the bottom that fits into the recess on the receiver?

Well, I caught a deal for a new Weaver saddle mount on Ebay so I went that way. Very nice mount for $20 shipped.
