For those that open the loading port, how far did you go?

For those that open up your loading ports for load 2's and quads, how far do you go? Here is a pic of mine. I went farther than some I have seen, and not as far as others. But it was as far as I felt comfortable doing myself. This is on a Mossberg 930 JM Pro, so there was no serial number in the way, which meant I could go farther on the left side than some. I think the biggest thing that helped me with loading was opening up the front section of it. The rounded section up front used to go pretty much straight across.

I also took out my carrier latch and reshaped it and polished it with files and sandpaper. And I had Skytac (Southern Kentucky Tactical) weld and polish my lifter.

My Rem 870 - as Teufelhundon said, probably the biggest gain was in moving the front of the port...
