Dakota Meyer, former sniper & MOH recipient, speaks to Fat Michael:

I’m sure that his grandfather, who died serving this country, is rolling over in his grave knowing that his grandson is using him to justify him calling U.S. servicemen cowards. I’d be willing to bet that at some point during his grandfather’s service, he was watched over by U.S. snipers, and probably had his life saved more than once by U.S. snipers during the war.

I served as a Marine sniper for three years, and I believe the film American Sniper depicted what we do perfectly. A sniper’s primary goal is to eliminate ground threats for U.S. guys on the ground. Is that what a coward is? A person whose goal is to save the lives of his warrior brothers?

No, cowards are people who didn’t have the guts to serve, and are happy to sit back in a free and protected country and call our service members cowards. I find it funny that this Moore guy would only say this after Chris Kyle was killed. I’d have loved to see him say that to Chris’s face.

Nothing like this from Michael Moore surprises me any more. He is the consummate hypocritical liberal media whore.

I did find it ironic that he calls out snipers as being cowardly while attempting to issue the verbal kill shot via the media whilst sitting in the comfort of his office.

I'm sorry his father was killed by a sniper, war is an ugly monster and I'm sure his father would have taken the same opportunity to protect his brothers if the tables were turned.

How many lives have been saved by Moores media shots? ....nuff said

I have more respect for myself and others than to call any of our military heroes cowards.

I know this is America and he has a right to think and feel as he does, but that same right he exersizes to voice his opinion, cuts the other way too.

I originally had several colorful words strewn together in an artistic manner to describe him, but I'm not going to give him the satisfaction of explaining to him what he really is, though if he's that stupid, perhaps someone should.

I think the ultimate insult would be to tell him that he really is irrelevant as a person and is not a piss ant of the man that Chris Kyle or any other sniper throughout the history of our nation was.

I know he couldn't pass the physical aspect of being a sniper, but I would pay good money to see him dropped 75 miles behind enemy lines with even a simple task to complete.

Then we could talk.

Moore started out in my home town. I knew people that worked for him when he was running a local paper. People either love him or hate him.

Like many people like him, I think he thrives on hate from the right. That's how he justifies to himself that he is doing the right thing.

Deny him that pleasure and let him shrivel up and fade away.

I won't say a word about Mr. Moore's physical appearance as I've known too many larger-sized people that were a pleasure to be in company with. But the mans keyboard has done more damage and been more offensive than every gun I own combined. His freedom of speech may be protected by the Constitution, but I think that he and his ilk are a dangerous lot and should be closely monitored by someone NOT appointed by Eric Holder. Instead of bashing Chris Kyle and those like him, Moore should be down on his knees thanking them for having the courage and patriotism to do what he and his friends could not or would not do.

Good afternoon there sweetheart, I hope this finds you alive and well. You can thank our men and women of the armed forces for that, by the way, and that also includes us cowardly snipers. It seems you’ve found time between licking the jelly off your fingers and releasing your grasp of a bear claw to tweet some junk about snipers being cowards.

My buddies and I got a good laugh over the tweet, so I thank you. For a guy worth $50 million dollars, you sure have quite a bit to bitch and cry about. I guess like a moth to flame, you too gravitate towards things that are popular and in the moment — in this case it’s snipers. Too bad for you that your attempt at being relevant via your 70+ year old family experience has failed. It has only made you look dumber than a bag of hammers. Next time you should try something more original than going after snipers for one reason or another…that was so last month.

It’s typical of “men” like you to criticize the intestinal fortitude, focus, discipline and patriotism of a sniper. It must stem from an inferiority complex or something. But hey, it’s okay cupcake. We snipers are thick skinned and the efforts of world class turds such as yourself to portray us in a negative light only makes us laugh. If you and I were in the same room, I’d throw you a smile and gently pat you on the head knowing you’re nothing more than a mouth breathing, Crisco sweating waste of space not even worthy of being in the presence of a sniper. It’s almost funny how people like you preach things like ‘acceptance’ and ‘not passing judgement’ or ‘labeling people’, but then are the first to do so when a person is in some way dissimilar from you.

So tenderfoot, I leave you with this final thought: what if you found yourself in some sort of hostage situation where you were held at knife-point by some crazed person and they were dead set on making an example of you by bleeding you out on Hollywood Blvd in front of the world, and the only way out was with the precision aimed fire of a sniper? Would you want that coward to take the shot? Because knowing how you feel about snipers such as myself and your hatred of firearms, I’d probably drop the mag, roll the bolt and go get a Jack & Coke before helping you out.

That said, upon listening to yet another radio report of an offended party (an "it"), it saddens me that this nation is turning into a bunch of thin-skinned wienies! Since when did we have to walk so lightly to avoid stepping on any toes? It is called grow a set and get over it! :cool:

I know what you mean, and no offense was taken. I never really thought about it until a plus-sized friend of mine who works for my IGD remarked that everyone seemed to mention Mr. Moore's weight, and wondered why they never made mention of the glasses or ball cap.

I think his presentation is un-kept. And let's be honest, his portly physique plays a big part in that. When you cap off his socialist views with a slovenly appearance, you get "disgusting".
