I should insert a "that's what she said" joke, but I'll just say Thanks!
It really is a nice little rifle, I am eager to get out there and test it. I have about 100rds of various grains waiting to pattern and zero in the scope.
24" .223 MVP, LSS, MOE, DPMS PSG-1, Harris, SWFA 16x, EGW base, Burris Sig rings. Makes for a handy and easy to carry precision tactical match rifle. 1x 30rd and 1x 20rd mag is enough to finish a match with so I don't have to deal with carrying a bunch of mags. Much easier to lug around the course than any of my other match guns.
Just mounted my Nikon P-223 3x32 Carbine on my 556 Patrol.
Not sure how much I like this scope setup.
It doesn't have enough eye relieve to center the scope over the receiver and to me that throws the look off a little. I like the compactness of the patrol, so not sure if I want a 3-9X40 on it either.
The mounts are also a little to high but they do allow me to use the iron sights. Would like to use a cheek riser for scope but not sure if using one will let me use irons?
I have some stencils coming in so I can paint the stock in 6 color desert (chocolate chip camo). Will post up some pics when that gets done.
Now I just need to go shoot it some more.
Gave it the Krylon touch, trust me it looks better the further away you get. I really like the bushnell AR scope w/BDC, fairly close drop for 62gr green tip.
