MVP LC Muzzle brake thread

Daryll

.270 WIN
Hi Gents,

I've tried to remove the muzzle brake on my 7.62 MVP LC and I can't shift it.

Before I clamp the rifle in something solid, and REALLY use some force on it, (and risk damaging something), can I check that I'm turning it in the correct direction..?

I know the eastern european muzzles are threaded opposite to normal, but what about US made guns..?

Will the MVP be a normal right hand thread..? ("righty tighty, lefty loosey"??)

Regards,

Daryll.

It should be but I don't have one. Use a heat source and heat it up slightly then try it again. The right amount of heat will let the brake expand.

I'm with OA, threads I've personally seen have all been righty tighty.

Let me do some looking.

It's the same 5/8x24 threads. Is it the SilencerCo trifecta muzzle break? Should definitely be right hand thread.

Hi Rossignol, no, haven't tried yet, been too busy and I'm out of the country for a week on business from tonight.

I may try today if I get a chance, otherwise it will be next weekend. I'll keep you informed :)
