Call me a cynic, but I'm waiting to hear about the weapon used...

...to kill the two FBI agents in Florida today. Don't know where I read it, but someone suggested rifle fire. And if it was a rifle...

Like I said, I'm waiting to hear the specifics of the weapon used. Take care. Tom Worthington

I read that article (link below), but something doesn't make sense...

The gunman, not yet identified by the FBI, is believed to have monitored the approach of the agents with a doorbell camera and ambushed them through the unopened door with a hail of bullets from an assault-style rifle, law enforcement sources told the Miami Herald.

There are several huge holes in the door going outward,” one law enforcement official said.

A "hail of bullets from an assault-type rifle" and "several huge holes" does not compute. "Several huge holes" sounds more like a shotgun, to me.

It will be equally interesting if they ever release details of this operation including approach tactics, weapons used by team, prior surveillance and actual operational planning, etc. Five agents shot in front of a door which obviously had a camera! Something (many things) wrong here.

Would have thought you detain individual when they exit the apartment and serve the search warrant as you escort him back inside. What if there had been multiple individuals inside the apartment?

Doubt the public will ever see the formal report.

"suspected child pornography" is going to be a term used more and more to justify illegal search and seizures. I'm not condoning child porn in any way but it is an "easy" excuse to get a search warrant. I'm also not saying you (or I) have anything illegal on your computer or phone but if you do, the time to scrub is now.

Yeah, I wondered about that too. Nobody sides with a pedophile, so it sure makes for a good public relations look. In this particular case, I think the guy was guilty as h*ll, but still... Kinda like that deal where "...just because the mere accusations were so heinous, we just had to move forward..." Like with the Cavanaugh hearings. Apparently that logic doesn't apply to presidential election fraud accusations, but still... Take care. Tom Worthington

The government and any LEO agency tends to control the narrative from the beginning in an attempt to sway public opinion through the media to make their jobs easier when it gets to court.

It's easier for LEO to crucify someone on the 6 and 11 o'clock news even though they may be as innocent as the sunrise in the morning.

But sure makes getting a fair trial next to impossible.

Supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.

I'm not taking sides either way, but I have seen this happen far too many times to believe in coincidence.
