I really like my 510 mini 20 gauge, but it has more recoil than I think would be a good choice for small children. Although the gun may fit well for youths, it may not be the best choice for a small shooter. I'd say try it before you buy it. Just my opinion. It is my favorite shotgun for me...

Found this site while surfing the net. I am a new member and just got my first Mossberg. It was a birthday gift and I love it! It's a Mossberg 510 20 gauge. I will likely get a 500 12 gauge sometime in my future. Wonderful products with a history of success.
