Interesting article on current crop of sabot slugs for hunting at www.americanrifleman.org. click on "ammunition" tab. there are writeups on 4 speciifc ammos (you have to click on the pictures to access them).
General comments are that the new generation of 20 gauge slugs have the penetration, accuracy, etc., for 200 yard hunting,
While I don`t think shotguns are the gun of choice for long range hunting or HD, it seems these bullets are at least making it possible if that`s what you have or all you are allowed in your area. They didn`t do any car-door tests, but it seems these guys would perform well.
