$200+ worth of barrel work on a $200 gun?

If you want a tighter pattern It would be much cheaper to try pattern testing different flight controlled shells....

Hornady Critical Defense holds a tight pattern, I was getting about an 8" spread at 100ft and in close quarters it just punches a nasty hole... https://www.hornady.com/ammunition/shotgun/12-ga-00-buckshot#!/

And for closer work you can this NSI buck and ball a try, it kicks like a mule but hits like a brick......

And I personally would use a slug on a hog. Good luck and happy hunting!

Another option is to thread the barrel for interchangeable chokes.

That gives more choices too. And for a lot more than slug and buck.

This is my preferred method.

Elbert is right about different shells patterning different, so it may be as simple as finding a combination that your gun likes the best.

Thanks.
I usually use slugs, but I sometimes switch to buckshot if I'm right on top of them.

I'd recommend trying out some different loads in your gun if you want a tighter pattern, and if you want a really tight pattern at any distance, try a slug. But if there's no buckshot load you like and slugs aren't your deal, then start looking at the vang comp
