500 Pump Question

I purchased yet another 500 pump. Was in the process if adding some stuff and I turned the gun upside down and the wood dolly came out the tube in the front. When I put it back in it now rattles.

This never happened to me before and before I start pulling things apart does anyone have any idea what could have come apart in the tube?

hi Chris, the wood dowel is for hunting restrictions. you can leave it out unless you are using it for hunting.
only other thing that could rattle in the tube is a broken follower.

Thanks - I was thinking follower. I never had a mossy come with the stick. That was new for me - this is my 4th 500.

Lol - come to find out the rattle was the wood bouncing around. All is fine.

The dowel normally has two rubber O-rings on it to prevent rattling. Might want to make sure they're not jammed inside somewhere.
