500A Serial Number Date?

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else in the forum.

I have sent a couple of emails to Mossberg inquiring about the serial number on my 500A. I will probably hear back from Mossberg at some point, but It's been a few days with no response, so I figured that I would ask you all.

Does anyone here have a serial number similar to mine? If so, what year was your shotgun made?

The serial number is: #R282xxx

Any light you could shed on this would be greatly appreciated.
