590A1 Barrel Ring sling point ?

The 2 point sling set up I plan on using is based on the HK sling. Are the barrel rings on a 590A1 strong enough to serv as a proper place to have a sling attachment point such as seen in these pictures or a little lower on the barrel ring? Obviously it would have to be tapped in or even soldered there. Thanks for any input.
