930 SPX Newbie questions

Hi all,

Been lurking here and learning as much as I could before purchasing a 930 SPX.

I'm not new to shotguns but this is my first autoloader.
I just picked it up from my FFL yesterday and I'm pretty stoked about
getting to the range this weekend.

Couple of questions:

-I've broken it down and given it a good cleaning and light lube.
I didn't see much in the manual on lubrication points.
I've seen some conflicting forum posts about running it dryer or wetter.
What's the consensus on how much and where to lube this gun?

- I just received 250rds each of Royal Rio Low Recoil 00 and Winchester Ranger
Low recoil 00. I also picked up a few boxes of Federal blue box Target loads and
some Remy sluggers from Wallyworld. I also have about 75 rds of assorted Winchester
buckshot, Federal tactical 00 (pre-Flt Control), birdshot etc in my safe.

My local indoor range only allows buckshot and slugs, which was why I bought
the Royal Rio. It was the most economical buckshot I could find.

My plan is to make a little drive out to an outdoor public range for the initial
break in and run through the target loads and such then shoot
the buckshot in follow up sessions at the closer indoor range.

Frankly, it's been so long since I've shot a 12 gauge that I'm not real sure
what my wussy shoulder is up for:)

Anyway, I found that the Royal Rio is hard to load and most definitely
will not hold 7 rounds in the mag tube. The Ranger will load 7 but the last
round is kind of tight and doesn't seem well seated. Hand cycling that first
tight round is not very reliable. Seems like the high brass cartridges are a little
"sticky" going into the mag tube.

Is this something I need to be concerned about? Is there any polishing I can
do to make loading shells more reliable?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I've watched these very informative videos already.

They were a great help for my first time field stripping and cleaning the gun.

Not much on the lubrication points which is what I'm really looking for.

In my video I go over lube points. Also lube points are in the manual.

Hey thanks, your video was the first one I watched a few weeks ago.

Just re-watching it now to pick up the lube points.
