I recently observed some differences between the stocks of two Predators when a chance for a side by side comparison between Sn# 16XX and sn#12XXX presented itself. Both rifles are 20" fluted models in factory laminated wood stocks.
Sn#12XXX the pistol grip is slightly fuller, the barrel channel is slightly wider and the fore end tip is more rounded.
The preference of early or later was a 50/50 split and no one disliked the feel of either.
Observed build quality fit and finish is the same between them I.E. excellent.
Also noteworthy is the bolt function of SN#12XXX which was far smoother right out of the box than Sn#16XX was when new.
