This past Saturday 10/29/11.
I get to my club at 7:00 am just like every Saturday during Pheasant season.
Hunt for a couple of hours then back to the club house for breakfast. It was much colder than normal and it was deffinatley going to snow.
At 11:00 we can start shooting Trap and Skeet since all the hunters are out of the woods by then (club rules).
I shot 2 rounds of Trap and then one of the die hard Skeet shooters at the club asked me to join him and another Die hard shooter for a couple rounds of Skeet. It had not started snowing yet.
Having just hunted with my 500 that I also use for Skeet, I was ready to go!
The first round it was not snowing that bad.
By the end of the second round, we were shooting "Blizzard Skeet"
From stations 5, 6 & 7 I was breaking the High house bird OVER THE LOW HOUSE!
I could not see the bird before that!!!
After I shot 8 I backed away from the field to get a pic of my squad finishing the station and the round.
My gloves were soaked and my hands frozen but it was a lot of fun!!!!
By the end of the storm there was more than a foot of snow on the ground! Unheard of for October in Connecticut!!!
Beggining of the second round
End of the Second round!
