Wow. Big thank you, John. I've been saving my pennies for an RMR. Just couldn't justify it combined with the cost of milling my slide. This brings total cost of my concealed carry solution down to a reasonable number.

On a side note: Looks like as of today, the RMR model in that link is "Gen 1" which means it has a single battery contact vs 2 contacts. Sony brand CR batteries are ever-so-slightly thicker and seem to be the go-to brand to alleviate intermittent red dot failures due to poor battery contact. I knew that ahead of time from the other research I've done, and am buying with confidence.
