I have a 590A1 and have not been able to find a light mount that does not interfere with the bayonet lug. Does anybody know of a light mount that is available that will still let a bayonet be attached to the shotgun?
Streamlight makes a mag tube adapter that will tie into your magazine tube. You can position the light in the 9 o'clock, or 3 o'clock position using this adapter right behind the bayonet lug. Just slide the adapter forward so it's making contact with the back of the bayonet lug and dosent start to slip around after you've been firing the gun.
You can also position the light in the 6 o'clock position, but in order to do that you'd need to attach a riser to the mag tube adapter, which brings the light down further off the magazine tube in order to clear the bayonet. I haven't tried firing the gun with this setup yet to see how it will hold up to recoil.
