My detent screw and spring fell out by my barrel. Today. After using a small punch and mallet, I was able to tap it back in. Is this a common problem with the 590's and if so how important is this screw?
Screw or ball? I'm not sure which screw you mean unless you are referring to the ball on the front retaining ring. I've never heard of that falling out. It is important because it engages the magazine cap and stops it from backing out under recoil.
Thats it I think. After doing a google search, I found that it has happened to some. I got it back in but wondered why or how it came out in the first place.
