New here and new to owning a shotgun in general. Have shot over the years but this is my first owned gun. Bought a new Mossberg 500 and we out and shot some clays. Noticed I wasn't hitting many until I moved the recoil pad higher on my shoulder, maybe about the bottom 1/3 was resting my my shoulder and shot much better. I was tilting my head less as well. Would a drop spacer help? Spacer in the recoil pad? Any suggestions would help.
