To recap, the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show was the largest of it's type in the U.S. with 200,000 visitors in Harrisburg, PA each winter. Reed Exhibitions, a British owned company, operated the show. This year they decided to do away with all things AR related. Large and small companies along with celibrities cancelled. Vendors lost their payments. Cabelas was one of the first to bail out. Ultimately, so many joined the protest that the show was cancelled.
It was announced this week that the show will return in 2014 and be run by the NRA in the future. I'm glad they are doing it but I hope it doesn't turn into one big NRA advertisement.
