Foregrip Strap on a Pinned Grip?

Hi all. Has anyone successfully mounted a hand strap on a stock (pinned) m88 foregrip? I've seen them on the 500/tube conversions but not on a factory 88 grip. Can it be done reliably without an internal fastener rubbing against the magazine tube?

From what I understand , as long as the screw threads stay under the plastic webbing of the fore end should be ok! I thought about that myself on my 88 but decided to go another direction.

I've seen it before on a stock 88 so i believe you can.. they are cheap on Ebay and some even give the dimensions of the screws used.

As long as the screws don't protrude past the inner plastic ribs it's fine, I have one on my Pinned 535 forend from the factory.
