I bought the 20 ga. combo 500 model 54282. It has a Williams rear sight, but it's not good in low light.
I bought a Williams FireSight set #66370 which "Fits Mossberg 500 with existing factory installed Williams rear sight." The new rear sight improves ability to see the rear sight quite a bit in low light.
But on closer inspection, my Slugster barrel appears to have a brazed-on front sight ramp, which is one piece including the front post sight.
Maybe I'm not catching something, but it looks like there's no dovetail on the barrel, and none on the front sight ramp. Sounds crazy to me. If I wanted a scope, I'd have bought the slug barrel with the integral rail (which isn't available in the Combo package anyways). And selling an iron-sights slug barrel with a welded front sight seems pointless.
