front swivel stud?

how can i get the front swivel stud to line up straight with the gun so my sling will be straight? i have the short and long studs, i have several plastic spacers but i still having trouble. thanks

When I put mine on I used the black spacer, screwed it on until it was just snug and then used a proper sized drill bit through the hole in the stud and then tightened it (about 1/2 turn) until the hole was parallel to the barrel. Seemed to work fine and the swivels and stud are straight, lined up nicely.
