Newbie here looking to learn and enjoy the forums. After much research, I bought a Mossberg 590A1 for a home defense weapon, and I could not be more pleased. It is a great value and a great design.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I agree...the 590A1 IS the ultimate. I also mounted a Surefire 9P light with a pressure switch on the forend

I too have the 590A1 20" plain bead sight and standard stock. Its a heavy gun, weighing in just under 8 pounds empty, but soooo nice, I love it!
