New shotgun owner and new Mossberg owner. Bought a 500 field/security combo, and shot a round of skeet with it this weekend, and WOW! Great gun. So glad I got it. Glad this forum was here while I was doing my research.

It's a stock one from Dick's I'm sorry to say, nothing fancy. Did add a limbsaver to save my 40 something shoulder from the inevitable bruising.

Nothing at all wrong with keepin it simple. Due primarily to my Mosin Nagants, I'm a BIG fan of those limbsavers too.

you should check out the blackhawk tactical stocks...or ATI stocks...i swear you'll be thanking me if you get one. i have one on my mossberg 835....i love it. i could shoot 3 1/2" shells all day....well.honestly i shot 2 boxes full....and no b&b...at all.....
