How to remove front fiber optic on Mossberg 930 Waterfowl

Has anyone removed the front fiber optic on a Mossberg 930 Autloader Waterfowl (ie 28" VR barrel)? I assume it just screws on and off but wanted to make sure before I start messing with it.

Dont be afraid to ride the lightnin Dan! Just yank the thing off of there!

Ok, I dont know... but! I took the front post off my daughter's 24" VR, (500 .410) It was the 5/40 thread.

So back to wreckin stuff (which I can do with the best of em!) Some vise grips should do the trick!

I saw the TruGlow, how was it to take the bead off? What did you end up using?

There are gentler ways... like wrapping the sight with tape and maybe not visegrips, but whatever works!

I wrapped it and used a pair of pliers and it came right off. It was definitely on there tight though.
