I just took delivery of a Mossberg Model 200D-A shotgun. The 200D-A is the last model of the four I needed to complete the entire series of four Model 200's. It took several years to find all four models.
The Model 200D and 200K was brought out as Mossbergs first pump shotgun in 1955 and produced only in 1955-1956.
In 1957 the stock and slide assembly was redesigned and produced as the 200D-A and 200K-A and produced only in 1957-1959.
The only differance between the 200D and 200K are the chokes. The 200D has screw on chokes and the 200K has a adjustable choke with compensator cuts in the barrel.
The Model 200's is not rare but it seems to be a seldom seen model. The Model 200 had a design flaw that it has a one piece stock and the wood around the action is very thin and either cracks or breaks at the wrist.
