I have two 500's with full length feed tubes and neither will hold 9 2&3/4" shells, they hold 7. Yet the mossberg website lists the capacity at 9+1. Am i missing something here?
Mossberg does not make a 9+1 configuration in any of their pump guns. Keep in mind also that the total capacity will be determined by the actual length of the shells you're using. 2-3/4" is the length of the unrolled hull not the loaded shell. Many brands of ammo are different lengths once loaded which can cause a variance in the number of rounds your tube will hold...
