Mossberg 500 Modification Slide Question

So I have a question on the Slide

I used installed a ATI Forehand Slide on my Mossberg 500 Cruiser with a ATI Forend Grip. The Slide came with the rails. The install is complete, but the rails doesn't seem as stable as the factory one. It moves too much from side to side. I am not sure if I installed correctly or not. The factory one was very firm when sliding back and forth and even when in the fixed position, this one rocks from side to side and is way too lousy goosy. I am sure I installed right... However, did I do something wrong? Will I just need to go back to the factory one?

I don't have any experience with the ATI forend, but my pump forends are pretty loose. ATI has a rep that frequents the forum and they may chime in with some advice. If not, you might send a quick PM to member @ATIgunstocksUSA ...

Hey synical19, what forend do you have on there? We can see folding pistol grip is our but are unsure of the forend from the picture.

In any case, the forend is probably attached very securely and the action bars is where you have the play/wiggle.

The factory forend would have the same movement, but it touches the barrel which prevents that turning. The majority of aftermarket forend makers try to avoid this.
