New rear sighting

I currently have a M590a1 with ghost ring sights that came with it when I bought it.
What I want is a rail mounted onto the receiver with a rear back up sighting.
I'm hoping I can leave the front sight as is, partly due because its welded onto the barrel.
Has anyone ever put MBUS iron sights on a shotgun? Probably a stupid question.
These might be another option. In the end I want a rear iron sight and to be able to use a red dot.

Any ideas, thoughts. Any advice will help out.

The Aimpro unit is the only rear railed ghost ring set-up I know of that will work with the low factory front post.

I use their fiber optic front post with my factory rear aperture. Other rail mounted rear sights will require the taller LPA style front post as found on the SPX models...

XS makes some good stuff.

You might give them a call and speak to a rep for some technical info. They should be able to let you know if it'll work with your factory front post...

I currently use the XS Low Weaver Backup sight listed above on my 835. I have yet to see how it sights to my front post. My goal is in hopes to swap between barrels on either shotguns if needed. I have yet to really sit down and measure how the Factory GRS on the 590A1 differs from the XS rear sight on the 835.

Williams does make different front dove tail sights in various heights and styles.

They also make a rear sight that looks interesting and is on clearance.

Hope this helps, Cheers.
