New Stocks and Warranty

Hi Everyone,

I hope you can help me out with my questions.

1.
Do you know if I can install Blackhawk Spec Ops Gen 2 Stock
(http://www.blackhawk.com/product/SpecOp ... 08,165.htm) on a Mossberg 500 20ga?

2.
Which one is better?
Blackhawk Spec Ops Gen 2 Stock
or
ATI Talon Tactical Stock with Scorpion Recoil System
(http://www.atigunstocks.com/tactical-st ... ystem.html)

3.
If I replaced the existing Mossberg 500 20ga synthetic rifle stock with one of the above 2 tactical stocks, will it nullify Mossberg Warranty?

Welcome aboard!

1 - Yes it will fit. The 12ga receiver is a bit wider than a 20ga receiver, so there will be a slight overlap where the stock connects to the receiver. Won't interfere with function at all though.

2 - I run a Gen 1 SpecOps and it's great, but I can't comment from personal experience on the other two. I'm sure some of our owners with first hand experiance will chime in on your two options.

3 - Wouldn't think so. Can't make the call, but sending an e-mail to Mossberg for a definitive answer might be a good idea. Worst case, you simply re-install the factory stock prior to sending your shotgun in for any necessary warranty repair...
 
I couldn't imagine why swapping out the stock would void any warranty on a firearm. Probably 60% of Mossberg Owners swap out their stock at some point haha
 
I have the ATI and my father has the spec ops, almost negligible differences. There are both great stocks, but the Triton mount for the ATI seems to make disassembly a little faster. Just my opinion after using both, I would go with the ATI.
