Pulled the AK furniture and gave it some BLO

I'm not entirely sure what BLO is, but the furniture generally is pretty tight. Especially the stock. I actually had to file some of the stock tang off to get it to fit one of my receivers. No amount of gentle persuasion was going to get it in the hole.

Guys, the other thing I've found that works well on wooden tool handles and gun stocks is a 50/50 mix of Pine Tar and Turbentine. Pine Tar is available from any farm and feed store. Typically mix it, takes some stirring, and let the covered can sit in the sun for several hours. Easy to brush on, apply with a rag or fine steel wool. Then leave the wooden piece in the sun to dry. As the tubentine evaporates the pine tar soaks in and provides a smooth sheen and dry finish. Does trun some woods slightly darker. Best to try a sample.
