Replacement barrel bluing rubbed off

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Just opened the package on a 500 24" slug replacement barrel today. In two areas there's a long section of bluing rubbed of. Straight line on each side. And a couple of various other spots. Almost as though the packaging caused it. It's the matte blue finish. I'll try to put pics up. Is this normal with 500 replacement barrels? Should I call Mossberg? Thanks for your time and info.

If you paid top dollar I would consider returning it. If it was a closeout or not bought from a dealer I'd slap some cold blue on it and call it a day.

PS: you should use the "Upload a File" feature to post pics--yours are not showing up. Welcome Aboard! :)
