Sawed off Mossy 500 12 gauge

I looked high and low for a 20 inch barrel threaded for chokes for my 500, so after a long search and finding nothing, I chopped the vent rib barrel down from 28 inches to 19.5 inches.
I patterned the scattergun at 25 yards, I got a 12 inch circle with 00 buck.
The 3 inch mag loads were a handful and the 3 inch magnum slugs shot to point of aim at 50 yards, I'm happy with the 'short' version of my Mossberg. :mrgreen:

if you still wanted it threaded there are places that will do it Rose Action Sports has pretty good feedback. I believe at least one of the guys here had them put chokes into his barrel. At the time it was only around $65. it does not look like they post prices on the web site any more so it may have changed.
