Sighting in Optics

What's a good distance to sight in a 590a1 with ghost ring sights and a holosun optic?
I'm running an Aridus mount that has a built in rear sight and standard front sight.
the 590a1 will be for home defense, so I'm thinking 7 yards, which will cover the longest distance in my home. Thanks in advance.

For what it’s worth I do 5, 10, 15 yards with both slugs and buckshot to confirm POI and spread. I also sight in my 590A1 (ghost rings only) at 25 yards as well. I don’t use any of my shotguns for hunting.
For birdshot I don’t really do anything other than the odd trip to the sporting clays course.
