Tuning the 590A1 Trigger

Since i cant read of any downsides of doing this.. i will try it asap...
You just pull the smaller spring off the metal "screw" ? :)

EDIT: 35 Mins later.. :) its done, and wow, much smoother and easier to cycle the action.. nice..

The aluminum trigger of the A1 is the nicest, smoothest trigger available. However the pull is quite heavy. This is due to the fact that this trigger has an extra mainspring - one inside the other. Presumably this was done to insure detonation on hard primers. Removing this spring is an easy task. Not only will this reduce trigger pull but it will also reduce pump effort as well.

My stock 590a1's trigger has quite a bit of slop in it. I suppose I could have it tuned somewhat, but I never thought of pump-action shotguns as having "nice" triggers.

The trigger group is supposed to be "metal".. but it cant be steel, it has to be some sort of "metal alloy" ?

Ok, Thanks, i suspected it was sort of aluminum.

For some reason this got me thinking of "mimetic polyalloy" ( Terminator )
