I remember when that video was posted.
And they did really good too.
Not bad for a bunch of high school kids, huh?
All Festival, and All State choir were both very influential times in my life. And were difficult getting into either because there is so much talent in our state. You have to audition in order to be accepted and there was a lot of competition for the spots. And it has grown a lot since I was in high school.
My junior and senior year in high school, we auditioned at Eastern Kentucky University just south of Lexington KY when Dr. David Greenlee was the director.
For years, I had kept my score cards because I was so proud of them. Especially my senior year.
We stayed on campus for a week to learn the multiple songs that we did during the concert because it was scheduled around spring break at the time.
