What slugs for deer?

Have a 535 rifles barrel. Thinking about Hornady sst slugs for deer.

Thoughts?

SST's fly good out of my barrel. If this is the first time, I would buy several brands and then pick the one that groups the best. Many of us did not pick the slugs our gun likes, the gun did. Due to differences in machining, harmonics, metal, etc, every gun is different in what it likes and will shoot well. Some are picker than others and you need to find the load that your gun will shoot well.

That is what I was thinking as well. My Shield 9 liked 147gr better than 124.

Since you have a slug barrel, my suggestion would be
Remington, 12 Gauge, 2 3/4" Copper Solid Sabot Slug
