If it is then what?
What model is your Mossberg and when was it made? If it started life as a sporting gun and was made recently and/or has the forend that comes back over the receiver slightly when the action is open, then Sneaky is right, it is most likely the shorter of the two.
If it is more like a 500 special purpose or 590/590A1 it will have the longer tube.
If you need the extension nut still, you can talk to Hogue Inc. They have been very helpful to me!

Some 500A's have the 6 3/4" and some have the 7 3/4". And just to cluster duck things up even more some of the newer models (some 2006+ that come with synthetic furnitutr) have non-removable forends. It's really just the luck of the draw. That's why I need pictures and measurements to assist you further. If I had my FFL I'd just have you ship it to me and I'd throw it on for the price of shipping, but BATFE is taking their sweet time processing my application.
Seeing as how the atf and batfe supplied guns to mexico I would think it should be easy to get an ffl.
Uhh... yeah. Thats a story thats still unfolding...
