hello,

i have an old 142-A just handed down, didn't come with a magazine, i have some feelers out.

i was told the 140 or 142 mags won't work.

can anyone confirm this?

it seems the value of the rifle should be around $250?

i may refinish it, just for fun, it is maybe 80-90% original finish at the moment.

can't believe that every mossberg supplier is out of mags, they are going for big bucks on ebay, anyone have one they can let go cheap? or rent/loan to me???
 
broke down and bought one from ebay, 50 shipped, considering most places list them for 28 to 34 plus shipping, i guess it's not too bad.

took some massaging to get it to cycle properly. seems to be working ok.

does anyone know how well the orig multi round mags work? the ones that are adjustable for short, long and long rifle!
 
Glad to see you found a working mag.

Wish I could be of more help, but I don't have any experience with the older adjustable mags...
