And So It Begins...

I wouldn't put it past Feinstein to try and reimplement the '94 ban or even something more draconian. It would be for show though since they don't control the house of reps. In '94 they had control of Congress and the White House. It would never get through Congress for Obama to sign right now. 94, talk about a buying frenzy. That was when I started buying guns and I hit the gun shows to stock up on high cap magazines which I still enjoy today.

I see them going more back door with anything they can do by executive order or decree. I have been trying to find out what all they can do by that method but have been coming up empty. I am guessing they will do things to make it expensive and hard to come by ammo and I think the President can stop imports.

And there is the hitch.....most people don’t put that together while caught in the vortex known as the gun counter after Election Day.
If the Dems get something done its going to take a while.....what we are seeing now is self induced panic , gouging and greed from the firearms industry feeding of off the panic while the rest of us regular gun buyers are trying to look at the damn Glock 29’s, forgetting how stupid it is to go to the gun shops after election

Couldn't agree more! You make a valid point and it makes sense! I bought ammunition because the sale ends tomorrow :) haha Anyhow, I think if anything is done, such as a raised tax, the companies should lower ammunition prices or do what they can to help out the American people purchasing their products. If we cannot afford it, we simply will not purchase it. If we don't purchase it, don't make money.... But for some reason Greed has over ruled helping out your fellow man and the cause you both fight for.

My father and I go back and forth a lot discussing the different things they can do behind "Closed Doors".. We both have come the the conclusion that there is A LOT of talking that can go on, agreeing, arguing, discussion in general.. But when it comes down to putting a plan into action they won't be so lucky to keep it quite.

The NRA has been and will continue to be hypothetically "kicking down those closed doors and storming the room.." because that's just what they do lol I do have to say, while the NRA does A LOT for the Average Joe American, they tend to favor the Companies and Manufacturers more.. I could just be looking at it from the wrong angle though

Boils down to money....every time. Where it’s going, where it’s been…who’s got it, who wants it, what you’re willing to do for it

It will be a Grand Show of Power to see how far they can get this stuff that is for sure.
As for money... It will be useless one day.. Maybe not in our time or our/my kids time... but someday.. :p

There is a very real concern over some of the UN stuff as well as other pieces of legislation or ammendments to existing legislation because of the gun/ammunition control wording that appears.

The big concern is that during this "lame duck" session while many law makers are vacationing, legislation will be put through or the UN stuff that simply has to be signed, will in fact be signed by H. Clinton effectively making the US bound to the terms.

So many things are intrinsically linked and the agenda really has to do with global redistribution/socialism.

If the watchdogs aren't payin attention and raisin hell everytime one of these rediculous mandates or otherwise shows up, these things will be put through. The administration is no longer restrianed by havin to appeal to the population for the prospect of reelection. Its done and over with, and as BHO said to Putin or whatever his name is, (I'll paraphrse here) wait till I get reelected, I'll have more flexibility. Following the election, Putin summarily phoned BHO to personally congratulate him. Is this not a reason for concern? When has this ever happened before? When does a communist call a person holding the office of the Presidency to congratulate him?

There are many pieces of legislation already that leaves one wondering, scratching our collective heads tryin to put the pieces together to figure out the ultimate conclusion of it all.

I've said it before, we're livin some sort of Alice in Wonderland reality where everything is upside down and backwards. I don't say what I do to scare anyone or to fuel some sort of mob mentality, but we can't stop watching what is happening in Washington. For example, the UN treaty stuff will absolutely over ride our Constitutional law and rights afforded to us therein. It doesn't have to be voted on to take affect, it only has to be signed. Its supposed to be voted on after bein signed, but someone has to bring it up for a vote but its affective upon signing and the only one who has to sign it is Clinton. I may be wrong on this part but I think it would be Reid who is responsible for bringin it up for a vote. The reason it would be effective immediately upon signing is due to the Venice treaty.

Anyway, put all the pieces together, and without any further clarity or insight into the minds of those responsible for the legislation, we are left to draw our own conclusions. Right or wrong its how our brains work like puttin a puzzle together. Id be happy to compile a list here but much of it is already posted within the political section here.

Good blog about how they could try and squeeze through a U.N. gun treaty. One kicker is that the Senate must pass a treaty with 2/3 majority of Senators present. On the plus side we will all know if/when the U.N. takes up gun/ammo treaties again. I still think it will be more quiet, behind the scenes 2nd ammendment attacks that the media can easily hide from most Americans that don't care.

"While such a scenario seems far-fetched, one only need remember the chicanery surrounding passage of Obamacare to realize that far-fetched is the new normal in Washington."

^^^^^^THIS!!

Just like clockwork...the U.N. will start up the arms trade treaty crap next March.

From a NRA/ILA email:
Just as NRA warned would happen, following the election, the Obama administration has moved forward with its plans to support a United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. On Wednesday November 7, the U.S. Mission to the U.N. made clear its support for renewed ATT negotiations, casting a vote in favor of resolution A/C.1/67/L.11. The resolution calls for a "Final United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty" to be held in New York City from March 18-28.

Undeterred by the failure of July's U.N. Conference on the ATT, in recent months the global civilian disarmament groups and their patron governments have been working nonstop to revive the treaty. Most visible were the attempts made by participants at the Second Review Conference of the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons. At the conference, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon used his time to state, "an arms trade treaty is long overdue… I urge you to redouble efforts to agree on a robust 'ATT' as soon as possible."

...for anyone interested in following the money, just take a look at firearm comany stocks...

Sturm Ruger & Co. (RGR) - trading at just under $50 per share recovering from a 52 week low of $29.11 back in June

Smith & Wesson Holding Corp. (SWHC) - trading at just under $11 per share recovering from a 52 week low of $2.72 back in June

Olin Corp. (Winchester Ammunition) / (OLN) - trading at just under $21 per share recovering from a 52 week low of $17.80 back in May.

The list goes on and with the current buying patterns these stock prices will continue to rise. Politically motivated panic induced buying has these industry folks laughing all the way to the bank...

Many very good points! I agree with a lot that Rossignol had to say!
Whilst it may be a while till anything gets any momentum, it WILL gain it none the less.
I was sick in the stomach when I heard that Putin called BHO, and couldn't believe it. But it has come to be true, very true and even more frightening!

CarbineMike: I received those same emails and facebook posts! They certainly are not wasting any time because they, in fact, do NOT have to face voters any round. My father said he thinks Obama will sink the Economy to claim a National* Emergency and suspend the Constitution to retain his control over the country. Sounds pretty legit with how things are going now.. :/

If that's the case, then that's why they have been buying up all that ammo....

In the state of Wisconsin there were over 600,000 hunters on opening day and throughout hunting season....I read. That is likened to the 8th largest army in world , bigger than Iran , bigger than France and Germany combined roaming around the woods during deer season in ONE American state......now add in the number of armed folks that don’t hunt who will fight for their right......now X that by 40 or so oter states that arent communist states...who do you think has more ammo and more to lose?

Oli, PA puts about 800,000 in the field on opening day plus about 75,000 non residents. Most counties are center fire ammo ok but I believe some populated counties are slug only. We have 30,000 in our school district and we have 4000 members of the gun club I shoot at so yes, there are a lot of armed folks out there. That may be why they are quickly approving and ramping up drone use on the homefront...identify, divide and conquer. I think those 1.2 billion 40 caliber rounds at DHS are in case the bottom drops out quickly in a SHTF scenario.

Freedom loving gunowners who want smaller govt and are concerned and sceptical of an expanding govt are being identified as domestic terrorists.

Many hunters would be lumped into that group... conversely, I know a handful of gun owners and hunters that are lock step liberals for some reason.

There can't be many of them. Bet they know some sort of secret handshake. Take care. Tom Worthington.

Yep and don't forget people that believe in the Constitution as our Founder Fathers wrote and believed in it will also get you on the potential terrorist list. Like Rossignol wrote in the other thread, it's like Alice in Wonderland and the things that were considered sacred and patriotic when I was a kid are now viewed in the opposite. Sounds like Orwell's 1984 is finally happening.

That was before NDAA (which both major candidates supported). Now they can hold you indefinitely without a trial. As the movement grows and "war" continues, the government will start using these powers more frequently. Remember, we've always been at war with Eastasia.

That part about them holding you indefinitely is disgusting! I couldn't believe they passed something like that!

As for the all the Hollow Points that are being bought up, I think it is in response to possible, and quite real threat, of Riots and Looting when December 21st rolls around. Should for some reason something happen, or even not happen, they are going to be prepared to declare Martial Law and have complete control. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they do it the day before and clean through Christmas to "Play it Safe".... I work for the railroad though so I am allowed to travel. "Employees of Transportation Sensitive Business are allow to travel with I.D. when called upon for duty when in State of Emergancy or other circumstances..." that is what I was given to sign in Georgia on Training day lol..

EDIT: In response to the Hunters, how many are decently trained to comabat against military personnel? Just as well, I wonder how many Military persons would go against the Big Brother
