He's not even holding it like a NATURAL extension of his body, nor with a proper shooting stance.
Just look how tight the muscles in his left arm are, while his right arm muscles are not flexed at all, and just look how straight he is standing.
And I bet they're low brass target loads to boot. Had it been a 3 inch magnum goose load MAN SHELL, I have no doubt would've put him on his ass with the way he was standing.
And he sure isn't shooting at skeet. The barrel is too level to the ground having just been fired. My bet, he isn't even shooting at a target and is just shooting to get some photo's. Which brings me to my next point.
This photo was extracted from a video where you can snatch the exact photo you're wanting. Which for this picture was showing the ported gas. there's basically no way anyone is quick enough or lucky enough to take that specific picture with the camera shutter to get the gasses being ported any other way.
So, they used the best method they had to get the best IMAGE they could.
This is nothing more than a farce, and nothing more than a publicity stunt. And not a very good image maker either Mr. President, but nice try. I'm sure it'll fool some people who don't know any more than you do.
As for everyone else, yeah, we see how stupid it looks. There's a lot of those people that know better.
There's an old sayin' that maybe you could apply to this situation:
You can't bs a bs'er.
And there are many people out there that can see right through this for what you are, and what this is.
