Boot knife

This is the second of the knife kits I've made. Somewhat different than the first.

Sheath assembly was made using a shaped spacer rather than carving out the sides - shown below. The knife with sheath and grips is only ~ 3/8" thick, so fits well in a boot or wherever else you want to clip it. Total length is 8.5", blade is 4".

Used some really dark figured walnut - no stain on this, just several coats of Formby's gloss and wax.

Not sure what Hut wax is. Never waxed my Hut.

Just Johnsons furniture paste wax, which I use for wood, and to keep my tablesaw and other tools (planes, handsaws, bandsaw table, planer, etc.) slick and rust free. With the humidity here, rust is a constant problem, and waxing tools makes them much more user friendly .
