Doomsday Castle

This is a spinoff of Doomsday Preppers. Anybody seen this yet? On NatGeo channel.
Pretty funny. Guy is building a castle complete with drawbridge, etc. to save his family from something or other.

Patton had something to say about this kind of thing: "Fixed fortifications are monuments to man's stupidity."

There is a reason man invented catapults, trebuchet, explosive canon balls, flaming arrows and a plethora of even more advanced seige weapons.

Never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket.

I think it's cool to have a castle, moat, drawbridge and all. Like the ye olde days.

Only difference is that it'll have electricity. :mrgreen:

I have seen the commercials. I'll dvr it. Then skim through the commercial. looks interesting if only for the castle.

I know a lot of people who are bugging in short of NBC.

But that doesn't mean they have all their eggs within the walls.

That would just be dumb.
