So, I don't know if anyone has seen this yet, but flipping through the tube I came across CNN's Jane Velez giving her anti-police spin on a story of a young lady that was tased after trying to escape custody. Now, I caught the story half way though so I'm not sure if this was mentioned at the beginning of the story, but the 5-6 minutes of what I did see none of the following was mentioned. This young lady was under the influence of cocaine and oxycodone. She had just initiated a chase after being involved in not one, but TWO hit and run accidents. She admittedly removed one of her hands from the restraints while in the back of the squad car. Then while the Trooper was filing paper work she attempted to escape from custody. Here's a more 'factual' version of the story:

Now I do think that the officer did have other options, but come on, the media takes every chance they get to bash cops while leaving out important facts to suit their stories.
