Fienstein to introduce Assault Weapon Ban

lol Oli let me know where that is at!

it’s going to be done here, don’t know if it’s going to be worth the trip for you though

I might even trade them for some curio/relic status guns or black powder so I can continue to have a hobby without the feds knocking at my door. I don’t want any trouble ....this way i can get it done before they introduce anything at the first of the year including regulations on gun shows, I get a fair price and don’t have to settle for whatever they want to give for a buy back. Since I am selling them at this gun show before any more regulations are passed about buy/sell at gun shows there won’t be any records ….unfortunately. if someone wants to do a bill of sale then cool but I’m not going to push the issue…….

..As I came to conclude then and think now, it's about control and power over people...

Unlike China, Russia, North Korea, etc... I believe we have a stronger community of firearms owners, enthusiasts and Sporsters than too allow too much to happen and at least willingly! I was however, afraid that on Friday the NRA was going to come out and say they were going to work with Gov't to make an effective and "fair" AW Ban.... After reading some stuff here and finding some dirt myself.. it was a disturbing possibility.

They may need to add some Fiber or Corn to their diet! Get some consistency is that s**t! :D

...So a thumbhole stock on a turkey gun makes one a smothbore 12 ga sniper. Not to mention makes you able to leap tall buildings in a single bound....

590A1, 500, 1911, AR, just to put food on the table. Haven't said anything cuz I didn't wanna feel less part of this group.

I hate when my shotgun shoots better with a "sniper" stock! It just doesn't make sense.. oh wait... Just as well you will always be part of our elite group with or without firearms

Oli, if it is any of your firearms, like that 10mm Glock, it'd be well worth it ;) I'll trade you a traditions muzzle loads, kay? :D

Thanks JohnA...I'll get those updates.

Here's a quote from Piers Morgan. He makes me sick. He can go to &%$# too.

This morning on Twitter, CNN's Piers Morgan answered "of course I am, you moron" when asked if he was "gleeful that a tragedy happened to help you push your cause."

There's no doubt that the "tragedy" referenced is the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that occurred last Friday, and that the "cause" is gun control:

This is why Piers Morgan no longer works in the UK.

I did pretty well I thought sellin a couple of mine. I had a guy offer retail for the rifle itself, less the aftermarket stuff I put on it so I didn't get evrything I had in it, but it was good chunk of change. To bad I couldn't see this crap storm comin cuz now I don't know ill be able to replace it. Its cool cuz I've been lookin at a couple more traditional bolt rifles.

Anyhow, my troubles hardly seemed conversation worthy, just had to bridge the gap to get back on budget after some moments of monumental stupidity and some otherwise totally unexpected things!

Whatever, its in the past. I'm stickin around to keep an eye on this nonsense.

RubiDing, thanks for that link. Hearing what a fraud Piers Morgan is probably made him more than qualified to work for CNN. Welcome to MO! If you haven't yet, stop by and say hi at the new member welcome area.

Rossignol, keep moving that ball down the field! When one opportunity is gone you'll find another.

Our Sunday news was filled with anti crapola. I stopped counting the references to "miliatary guns". My dad is not an anti and owns a Browning Hi Power but I still had to explain to him that semi AR and AK's are not military weapons. My cousin called to tell me how proud he was of his daughter. She was being indoctrinated in the liberal interpretation of the 2A in history class. Ar the end of the class she stood alone as the only defender of the 2A with the teacher brow beating her with "I don't see why anyone needs a gun". He'll be calling the school ater Christmas break.

BRAD

Such is life man.....not the end of the world by a long shot in the grand scheme of things......and if SHTF ....you'll get another one.

It is life, I'm not at all resentful, had to get my house in order before Christmas cuz it ain't about me, I wanted to do for the kids.

In any case, I want my kids to have the same freedoms we've all enjoyed to this point and not be criminalized for enjoying either hunting or sport shooting/plinking with whatever firearm we choose to own down the road.

Me too. It's definitely not just for me but I want my kids to have a future in a Republic as we were founded on, not some bankrupt socialist waste land with no future. My son was shocked to hear that people want to ban the BX-25 mags for the 10/22 he loves to shoot.

all good things must come to an end.....but not without a fight. and by a fight I mean selling all your guns at a gun show before the end of the year

I’m going to wear a kilt…since I don't wear a thigh holster "they may take our high cap mags !!....but they will never take our FREEDOM!!!!"

And I don't really believe that it would make a list of assault weapons
Protects legitimate hunters and the rights of existing gun owners by: grandfathering weapons legally possessed on the date of enactment;

From that statement, I should probably go out and by that AR before the ban goes in place. Plus keep my hunting license curent!

lol Brad, we got your back, Brother! I'll come get you if you need some backup :D

Walmart in Johnstown, PA, has full stock of 00 Buck, I should have totally gotten some today but spent money otherwise :p Gander was completely sold out of EVERY AR/AK/Semi-Auto Anything!! There was like a 2 hour wait for buying a gun and getting a background check. Pretty sick what a little ban scare can do too the country...

Re: Connecticut School shooting.

I think someone said it earlier, but should we REALLY be rushing to purchase all the AR and AKs up? Shouldn't we, who already have a semi auto or gun in the sights of the ban, be focused on getting the guns that won't be banned and are out of the limelight? Like the bold actions that are usually backordered for months but are now on the shelf because AR's are prime game?

Just a thought

Re: Connecticut School shooting.

To be told. I don't really want an AR. I truely am one of those guys who uses his guns to hunt. My 930 with three seperate barrels is so damn versatile that I have a hard time pulling anything else out of the gun safe. But a nice 40 or 9 as a side arm for dispatch of big game etc might be justified. The two 22's I have (a Marlin Papoose backpack rifle and a Walther P-22 handgun) are great weapons and ammo is cheap and light. The Marlin 30-30 Lever is a classic but with the 930 and Hornady Slugs, it's reason for being in the safe has somewhat diminished. A nice solid long range rifle would be nice, but 300 yards is the maximum distance at the range. And we don't have Prairie dogs here. Oh well. Maybe I'll just pick up some more ammo.

Re: Connecticut School shooting.

The only legitimate reason I would have for owning an AR is Paper Punching! No hunting in PA with Semi-auto rifles/shotguns/etc... It would be a nice addition as would any gun but for the $600+ I could get a REALLY nice CCW Pistol haha

BUT just because maybe WE don't use them is no reason to NOT let anyone OWN one as it is still our right ;) (My little safety disclaimer there :p)

Re: Connecticut School shooting.

I don't own one. But I wanted one. I think my Saiga12 will do just fine. And my Mosin. I just need to get some more ammo for it. I'm down to only 50 bullets. Time to get some spam.
