Re: Congress talks about gun confiscation

Stop it, you are scaring me. Well, to be honest most of the news I now see and read scares me, so it isn't just you. Take care. Tom Worthington.

Re: Congress talks about gun confiscation

It would be a lot easier for me to lie to you.

You're going to wake up in the morning, it will be sunny, the birds will be chirping, the grass will be green and this will all be a bad dream.

All will be happy and well.

Thanks. ;) Better now. :) Take care. Tom Worthington.

First come registries, soon followed by confiscation.

This is not representative government. This is government doing what they've been wanting to do all along because they fear an armed society, we are viewed as a threat to their power which they want consolidated to themselves. BHO actually said as much in a SOTU address.

I don't have facebook, can you paste it please?

Here it is. This is the video where I was asked to keep the Democrat proposals for the NY SAFE Act away from the public. This list was given to me by a colleague and it is not confidential.

This bill was an attack on the 2nd amendment and the Democrats clearly wanted to dismantle the work of the Founding Fathers. None of these amendments were included in the final bill thanks to us fighting back. I will not stand silent while these unpatriotic proposals are pathetically thrown at us a 11 o’clock at night:

1. Confiscation of "assault weapons"
2. Confiscation o ten round clips
3. Statewide database for ALL Guns
4. Continue to allow pistol permit holder's information to be replaced to the public
5. Label semiautomatic shotguns with more than 5 rounds or pistol grips as "assault weapons”
6. Limit the number of rounds in a magazine to 5 and confiscation and forfeiture of banned magazines
7. Limit possession to no more than two (2) magazines
8. Limit purchase of guns to one gun per person per month
9. Require re-licensing of all pistol permit owners
10. Require renewal of all pistol permits every five years
11. State issued pistol permits
12. Micro-stamping of all guns in New York State
13. Require licensing of all gun ammo dealers
14. Mandatory locking of guns at home
15. Fee for licensing, registering weapons
Letting the cat outta the bag.... The real outcome they are after.

Thought I'd share a rather meaningful article from the JPFO:

A Lesson to be Learned on the Anniversary of Wounded Knee

December 29, 2012 marks the 122nd Anniversary of the murder of 297 Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

These 297 people, in their winter camp, were murdered by federal agents and members of the 7th Cavalry who had come to confiscate their firearms “for their own safety and protection”. The slaughter began AFTER the majority of the Sioux had peacefully turned in their firearms. When the final round had flown, of the 297 dead or dying, two thirds (200) were women and children.

Around 40 members of the 7th Cavalry were killed, over half cut down by friendly fire from the Hotchkiss guns of their overzealous comrades-in-arms. Twenty members of the 7th Cavalry were deemed “National Heros” and awarded the Medal of Honor for their acts of cowardice.

We do not hear of Wounded Knee today. It is not mentioned in our history classes or books. What little does exist about Wounded Knee is normally the sanitized “Official Government Explanation” or the historically and factually inaccurate depictions of the events leading up to the massacre on the movie screen.

Wounded Knee was among the first federally backed gun confiscation attempts in United States history. It ended in the senseless murder of 297 people.

Before you jump on the emotionally charged bandwagon for gun-control, take a moment to reflect on the real purpose of the Second Amendment- The right of the people to take up arms in defense of themselves, their families, and property in the face of invading armies or an oppressive government. The argument that the Second Amendment only applies to hunting and target shooting is asinine. When the United States Constitution was drafted “hunting” was an everyday chore carried out by men and women to put meat on the table each night, and “target shooting” was an unheard of concept, musket balls were a precious commodity in the wilds of early America, and were certainly not wasted “target shooting”. The Second Amendment was written by people who fled oppressive and tyrannical regimes in Europe, and refers to the right of American citizens to be armed for defense purposes should such tyranny rise in the United States.

As time goes on the average citizen in the United States continues to lose personal freedom or “liberty”. Far too many times unjust bills are passed and signed into law under the guise of “for your safety” or “for protection”. The Patriot Act signed into law by G.W. Bush, then expanded and continued by Barack Obama is just one of many examples of American citizens being stripped of their rights and privacy for “safety”. Now, the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is on the table, and will, most likely be taken away for “our safety”.

Before any American citizen blindly accepts whatever new firearms legislation that is about to be doled out, they should stop and think about something for just one minute-
Evil does exist in our world. It always has and always will. Throughout history evil people have committed evil acts. In the Bible one of the first stories is that of Cain killing Abel. We can not legislate “evil” into extinction. Good people will abide by the law, defective people will always find a way around it.

And another thought Evil exists all around us, but looking back at the historical record of the past 200 years across the globe, where is “evil” and “malevolence” most often found? In the hands of those with the power- governments. That greatest human tragedies on record and the largest loss of innocent human life can be attributed to governments. Who do governments target? “Scapegoats” and “enemies” within their own borders…but only after they have been disarmed to the point where they are no longer a threat. Ask any Native American, and they will tell you it was inferior technology and lack of arms that contributed to their demise. Ask any Armenian why it was so easy for the Turks to exterminate millions of them, and they will answer “We were disarmed before it happened”. Ask any Jew what Hitler’s first step prior to the mass murders of the Holocaust was- confiscation of firearms from the people.

Wounded Knee is the prime example of why the Second Amendment exists, and why we shouldn’t be in such a hurry to surrender our Right to Bear Arms. Without the Second Amendment we have no right to defend ourselves and our families.

sickening

I actually hope that this wouldn't happen, but wouldn't it be ironic if a real threat to these elected reps came up and there were no more nearby LEO or MIL to help them? And their only chance for survival was a call to arms from their citizens?

I mean, really, do these people believe that the US borders are secure, or that we are somehow immune to mainland invasion?

What may happen if China decides that they want their money back.

What would happen if Iran sent in an expeditionary force.

AGAIN !!!!

It's not like that hasn't already happened.

One of the first rules of engagement is to take out the opposing leaders and high chain of command. (which for us, are elected officials) as quickly as possible.

You would think that instead of them trying to strip us from our God given rights, they'd try to uphold and build that up as much as possible.

And to hear these stupid bastards talk about the only need for a gun is for hunting deer and no need for civilian weapons pisses me off to no end.

I not only own a gun for hunting, but personal protection. I am pretty well versed in history, and cannot count on both hands how many countries have been taken over or invaded throughout human history.

I think it would be a safe bet to say that the US has invaded and had military operations in at least 20 countries and territories in just the last 100 years just itself.

Do you think that the US is the only country that can do that? Do you feel that it is impossible for large numbers of people to cross our borders?

Just ask these millions of illegals if it can be done if you don't want to take my word for it.

And what about legitimate terrorist actions against the US and its' citizens. What about defending against sleeper cells we've all heard about if they're ever activated and they try to cause us harm again like they have sworn they will do?

This is not exactly the same world we grew up in.

The 2A is not just about hunting, it is not about sporting, or home defense.

It is Republic defense as well.

Hunting is an easy sell, steeped in tradition, throws gun owners a bone, and a shitload less in masses so in essence, on paper far less armed people and it’s hard to win a fire fight with traditional guerrilla tactics using a bolt action and an over under when your enemy is packing FAL’s and driving armored vehicles.

I do not think 2a was intended for hunting at all. But in the day 2a was coined, it was the primary way to get food so it went without saying. 2a was/is a reminder to the government. But that was in a day when the people and the government were on equal playing field. The government is far too powerful now to take standing up. Our muskets are being taken away, we are being busted back to the equivalent of stone clubs vs. muskets, starting in New York.....ironic considering New York’s place in history regarding the first revolution when this country told the last power mongering government to stuff it straight up their ass

Don't count out NY just yet.

I'm hearin the turn coats are scared. The political backlash from those that honor the paper was more than they expected. We may limit this impact yet through amendments and legal recourse.

But time will tell. We march on our capital tomorrow. Hope you do the same.

Isn't this the point of the Second Ammendment? They should fear the people. We put them in power (shame on us), we can take that power away (by force if needed).
