Has anyone tried to polish the barrel on your 715?

Thinking of doing so on mine now that I cut down the quadrail. I think it would look kinda cool.

Are you talking about removing the bluing?

Yeah, you see it done on pistols all the time, but I think it could easily be done on the 715 once the quadrail is removed. I'm going to try it in the next few days, ill post pictures.

I used this stuff on one of my 1911 barrels and it worked like a charm...

Birchwood Casey Blue and Rust Remover

Took about a half hour with some cotton balls and fine steel wool. The barrel was shining bright when I was done. You'll need to wear a mask though, 'cause it is some pretty stout smellin stuff...

Is it blued or paint? mine doesnt look blued it looks like paint.

Ide like to do mine as well, i already took out my trigger group and polished my trigger.
